Back to 100 lbs loss!

I am so doing a happy dance right now!  It is official this morning that I am now back down to 100 lbs lost from my highest wt! :)  The scale registered 124.4 lbs this morning and I was very happy that I had managed to get over the hump that I was feeling earlier this week. :)  On this journey, my total wt loss is 22.2 lbs!  It is so time to celebrate here.... :)

This morning I will be heading out for my long slow run of 18k and I am going to start from my house this time.  I will be on my own so I have mapped my route and told my husband where I am going to be.  For this run I will be introducing a new drink to try along with my water to see if this helps me with my sodium issues while running (I lose sodium fast).  I normally do not worry about it but starting at this amount of km, I am going to give it a shot.  I will be taking my normal power jelly beans (couple) and two small pcs of granola bar.  That should tide me through as I am going to be running for about 2:15 hrs outside doing my 10:1's.  I am feeling great this morning with no aches and pain, just a little tired from a restless sleep (someone was snoring heavily last night... and it wasn't me) ;)

After I am done my run, drink my chocolate milk, get all stretched up, ice if needed, and get all cleaned up, I am going to enjoy a good lunch. :)  There will be about 13-14 APs to be eaten on top of my normal. lol ;)

The rest of today I am not quite sure of yet.  There won't be too much done strenuous wise because I have to make sure that the rest of today and tomorrow I recover well from today's run with my 5k fun race on Sunday.

Yesterday, my son's Running Mania zippered hoodie arrived and he was really happy with it.  I bought it for him to show how happy I was that he is getting outside and doing something like the biking and going to do a kids 1k race on Canada Day. :)  The only person I do not have decked out yet is my husband... You see, when I do my 1/2 marathon here in the end of May, I would like to have a good orange cheering section for me. :)  There is always a sea of Running Room clothing mostly with the odd Brainsport one on races and run/walk events here and I am going to break that monopoly up. :)  There are hardly any Saskatchewan people involved with the Running Mania (a great running forum and support site for runners and such) and I am going to wear my colors with pride.  So if any of the Sk people out there see any pics at the end of next month with a girl wearing an orange shirt or tank top, bright orange socks, and some fake tattoos, that's me! :) And hopefully I do not embarrass myself too much during the race. :)

I am starting to get really excited now about the half.  There is only 3 long runs left including todays for this schedule and depending on how it goes, it will determine what races I for sure go in next.

Well, not much else here besides a happy wi, planned good food, and some good ol' R & R before Sunday.

run: 19.4 km/2:16:03 mins, avg 159 bpm 7:00 min/km, cold wet run and really windy, opened up my stride and ran at a comfortable pace with out looking at what pace I was doing.  Good run though

As I expected...

... official wi and challenge wi today and I am up 1.2 lbs which makes me at 126.6 which is OK with me. :)  I knew the wt came off a bit too fast there for a bit...  Also, this week was TOM, I know I did not have my usual amount of water this week, AND my DH brought home OPA last night for supper!  Realistically, OPA is not that bad except for the sodium and the tzaziki sauce that they put on it.  The sauce and the white pita bread were really not core.  As I said, I am OK with the gain and I know this puts me back in the 'safer zone' of losing wt. :)  My body could also be slowing down now in the wt loss due to all the muscle that I am putting on.  I did miss one work out this week due to being sick too AND maybe a bit of overtraining symptoms prior (fast loss of wt).  So, I guess there are lots of factors on why I went back up. lol  Oh ya!  I did eat every pt allowed to me this week also in the end. :)

I had to think there for a bit what day it was here... lol  Glad it is friday. :)

I am still in the inspirational mode here from the movie. :)  So, I can see a great workout coming my way.  Today is stationary bike and wts tonight, I may slip in a super easy recovery jog with Tala this morning because she really looked hurt the last couple of days when I did not take her (too far for her yet).  :(  30 mins max is all I am going to do there. :)  And as I said, SUPER easy as I do not want to over train. :)

Well, I have never changed my official wi day before... so this should be interesting...  I was a bit leery about it this morning when I saw the scale, but I know this will be better for fueling up days (Saturday) before my long slow runs on Sunday.

Food wise for today, I am still not quite sure except for my breakie. :)

Austin ended up staying home yesterday because he was sick and I am waiting her to see how he is this morning if he needs another day off or not.  The one thing about cold meds and his regular meds... the cold negates his other meds and things get quite interesting around here.  I keep on telling him that he needs to relax on the couch... but ends up running around in his self-made ninja costume... lol He has such a hard time controlling himself...  and when he can't calm down when he is sick... that is when we end up in the hospital.  When I talked with the school and his EA last night, they both had said to watch for Foot and Mouth because it is in the school right now.  Maybe keeping him home another day might not be such a bad idea.... :S

Well time to check up on him and to see what I should do.  Another mommy/son day would be nice. :)

Oh ya!  Hills yesterday... I worked so hard on trying the positive self talk doing them!  I made it!  All six times up and down. :)  It was funny because when I started there were these city workers setting up on the side of the road doing something and ended up cheering me on as I kept on running up them.  I know they must have thought I was crazy or something (Stacie... I vote for the crazy too!  lol)  but they kept on saying 'how many more left?' and cheering.  It was just a bit creepy... but it was really great and helpful also.  My time also improved running them as I went to the hill that I used to train on.  The warmup and cool down trail is flatter and it is away from the downtown area of the city.  The hill street is also less busy and a smoother road surface.

OK.. did I talk your head off yet?  lol

Non-Smoker :)

run: easy 30 mins morning with Tala, temp +8 and sunny, 3.97km/27:33 mins, avg 147 bpm 6:53 min/km, it turned out to be a bit faster than I wanted. :(  Need to focus on staying on a slower pace on recovery runs.
stationary bike: 60 mins tonight
wts: 30 mins tonight

ummm....

Please don't shoot me for this... I am down another big number for the week and it is actually worrying me a bit.  Don't get me wrong though... I am taking it and running with it. :)

Down 3.2 from last Friday wi challenge that I am in which makes me 125.4 lbs!  AND I made a 21.2 lb loss thus far!  That makes it 2 wks in a row now though that I have had a big number loss.  Grant it my APs are a big number and yesterday was a steady run for about 1.5 hrs (at a sloooowwww rate :) and hills :(  ) <---- it was a real struggle to finish it.  I have only 10 FPs left and only the last 2 days I have not been able to eat all my APs earned.  Next wk my plan is to eat MORE!!! lol  I hope to eat all APs earned and all my FPs for the week. :)  If I gain a bit, that is going to be OK so that my body will even out a bit.  I foresee a nice treat coming my way... lol  I have been pretty busy which I did not realize until a few have pointed it out.  Thanks guys! *wink* lol  I am going to slow down a bit here too... Maybe that's why I have been so dammed tired here the last couple of days... :s *duh*  lol

There is no movement again in Suki's cage and I am too scared to look.  DH is gone till Tues now....  I am sick to my stomach right now...

I am going to see if I can get a pic on here of my new do today.  I have a couple of self taken pics that day from my camera phone and my camera.  I will load them up and see which one doesn't look so goofy. :)

For exercise today it is going to be cross training with the stationary bike and wts.  I am not going to push myself too hard as I am feeling super tired and a little sore from yesterdays run.  So it is going to be an easy workout.  Any pain and I will be stopping.  I can't wait for tomorrow's rest day....

Food wise today, I am going to have my steel cut oats for breakie with a banana, I have already have had 1 cup chocolate milk, lunch will be a tuna something, and supper will be a chicken oriental salad from McD's with my son. :)  Core snacks to fill me where needed.  So it will be a mostly core day and my FPs will be used up more.  I am planning to rent a movie here with my son tonight so popcorn will probably be in there too. :)

Still no smoking!! :)

Sbike: 60 mins?
wts: 30 mins?

April Fool's Challenge begins...

... with an awesome start!  I shocked even myself with this one. :) I stepped on the scale this am for my start wt and low and behold it registered 128.6!!!! OMG!  I am so doing a happy dance right now... lol That's 12.6 lbs away from the original ww wt goal (haven't decided yet officially) and 2 lbs away from a total of 20 lbs lost!  Wooo Hoooo!  I am not about to repeat the eating wk that I had for that (Easter was way to much food) but I must be doing something right.  I ran about 26 km this week in total and I am sticking to my training regime outline for mileage and workouts so I do not overtrain, but Yeesh!  I will take that thank you as a start wt for the challenge and let's just see what happens on Sun morning with my official ww wi...  I am not expecting much now.

So this am I am going to go for breakfast with my Nanny and some of the family.  This is the first time she has been out since her surgery.  The restaurant is well used to adapting our orders for the ww members in the family. :)  So it should be a good breakie.

I bought a new bike!!!!!  As my last bike I bought in 1993 and it was a good high quality one back then (upper range) and it has lasted me through the years of road and off road use.  Last year the years seemed to catch up to it and I new I had to start keeping an eye out for a new one.  I priced out some last year and they were too much out of my student budget and new I had to wait.  Yesterday I went to a different local bike shop here where I originally bought my other bike and took a few for a test drive.  I found one that just fit like a glove... :) and half the price of what I was looking at last year!  Bikes have sure changed throughout the years so there is a couple of things like the new shifting (I had rapid fires before) but these are different ones.  The breaks are disk ones so no more fighting with the Y-brakes!  Front and back tires are quick release and I have adjustable shocks. :)  It is a cute 14" frame and blue in color.  My husband was a bit mad at me as he says why can't I just have bought one from Zellers, Walmart, or Canadian Tire which would have been cheaper.  Yes I could have.  BUT... I used to buy those before I went to a good quality one and the difference to me was huge.  I need one to last and handle everything that I want it to do for me and the comfort is well worth it. :)  See, last year I was so fed up with the traffic here and I was really frustrated and did not want to drive anymore.  Sitting around in a car for 3 hrs with no bathroom and running out of snacks and water drove me over the edge one day (unexpected traffic jam that shut off one side of the city from the other and the stink from all the vehicles made me sick).  I decided then that I wanted to try to bike or bus it when ever I could instead.  So I did.  In the winter I have have been using my university bus pass most of the time and now that the streets are clearing up... its bike time!!!  So there is my new big purchase for myself.  I figure that I deserve it because it would not take long to add up the amount of cigs it would take to pay for it.  :)

Well it is cross training on the stationary bike and wts for me today.  Then a quick tour on the new bike.

Still a non-smoker!  I will have to continue this after breakie as I just realized I am going to be late! :)

Sbike: 60 mins
wts: 30 mins

Good Friday

A little late in posting today... I was a bit busy this am.  Austin and I just finished dropping off Jason at the airport with his work partner for some re-certification on some stuff.  Jay won't be home till Monday night now... And with Austin leaving Sunday night... I am going to be alone for 24 hrs!  Woooo Hoooo!  I wonder what kink of trouble I can get into... :)

Well today I went looking for some new runners and wanted to go to a different store other than the Running Room this time to get a second opinion on what shoes to get.  I know I need a stabilizer but the ones I have are not doing to well in keeping my rt foot under control.  I do not want to go to orthotics unless I absolutely HAVE to.  The other store here, Brainsport, has been in Saskatoon for years and are very knowledgeable, but I am always intimidated when I go there because it always seems that just the elite go there.  They are a little bit more expensive, but the knowledge is worth it.  So I got in my car all ready to go with my current running shoes on and low and behold... the store is closed today.  I was quite surprised because majority of the stores here are open, it is just the government, banks, and city ones that I understood were closed.  Oh well,  I can wait until tomorrow.  I just will not be able to wear them on my long run on Sunday.  Have to break them in first and make sure they are good ones for me.

Challenge wi today was a sts.  I was not too surprised as my exercise schedule is going to be hill workouts on the Thurs before Fridays now.  I was contemplating doing them on the Tues but then I have my speed run on Wed.  Decisions, decisions...  But on a good note, I have met my challenge goal and my AP goal.  Surpassed both!  :)

Well I have almost completed a full week of core now and I am still not too sure of what I am going to continue with.  I really like how I am feeling fuller and I do not have the cravings that I used to as much, but on the other hand, my eating schedule for the week is not quite suiting it.  I am having a hard time with that and making the right decisions food wise and I do not want the family to change our little traditions.  I once heard of someone referring to a combined mix of core and flex as flore.  This is where you eat a majority of core foods and count pts.  I must admit that I did continue to count my pts this week while attempting core and I found that I was forcing a little to eat my required amounts for pts with APs.  With switching to more core foods, I was fuller longer.  So, I am going to continue to count the pts and try to continue to be as core as possible and see where this takes me.

NSV today was putting on a pair of pants that I bought myself in Sept/07.  They look ridiculous!  lol.  No word of a lie... when I pull them away from my waist, there is a good 3 inches of a gap!  And these were nice, snug, and fitting when I bought them.  :)  I showed my husband and he just laughed at me and said I was melting away on him. :)  So that put me in a good mood today.

Today for exercise is some cross training, strengthening, and stretching.  We went out for our brunch at OPA and I was very good.  No pita bread, had the chicken, and had the ceasar dressing on the side.  :)  I am sure the chicken would be a bit high on the sodium and extra fat but I will be counting some extra pts for that.

A complaint on the weather here... I thought a temp of 1 should feel warmer than this!  It smells like we are going to have a major snowstorm here!!!  And the cold is just biting.   :(

I joined a new Canadian running group last weekend and I love it.  I was involved in the Mom's in Motion here last year but really did not feel that I fit in.  It seemed that everyone was more of a crowd that just had babies or young toddlers.  So I just did not see the 'fit.'  So this new group is called Running Mania and everyone just seems like a hoot and there are all abilities of runners there.  So I feel quite more at ease with them.  I just ordered some of their running maniac gear so I can run my half marathon here in maniac style.  :)

feeling better...

Well today I am feeling like I am going to take a walk!  The complete rest has done me some good and I hope to be well enough on Sunday morning to head out for my long run.  Good news with nothing being broken is I don't lose as much time away from running, and my endurance is still in my muscle memory so that is good.  If all things work out well... I will be back running normally soon!  Yeah!

Well my challenge wi was this morning and I am pleased to say that I managed to get rid of those extra 5 lbs on the scale that scared me this week.  I am down 1.6 lb from last Friday!  Woooo Hoooo!  After seeing the 'scare' on the scale I really tightened up on my eating healthier for the rest of the week and drank I swear 4+ L/day!  The only 'treat' that I had was the angel food cake that was supposed to work out to 2 pts per piece, but after we lost a good chunk of it to the walls of the oven... I think that number dropped.  :)  So happy day for me!

Last night I let my son cook for his dad and himself, I had my own supper all ready before of a turkey kabob.  Austin made hamburger helper all by himself.  He has been really into cooking more and loves doing it, so I thought I would teach him more.  I figure with the packaged foods it would be easier until he can get enough coordination to do more.  This am he wakes up early and says he wants to make pancakes!  Yeesh! Why don't you just tease me some more.  Pancakes.... drool...  lol So my son made his pancakes, a little burnt but who doesn't at times, and right now I am cooking my steel cut oats.  I tried these oats yesterday with a banana and I quite like them.  So we have the fan going from all the pancake mix on the burner.  Austin's little mishap trying to 'flip' the pancakes.  lol  All in all, things went well though.

So last night I was reading a post on the GDT about someone feeling that her daily multivitamins were causing problems in her wt loss... there were some valid pts that were made.  Although from what I have learned I would never give up a daily vitamin, I wonder if looking for a new one would be in order?  The problems that she noted were wt gain and lack of going to the bathroom... if you know what I mean.  Another poster mentioned something about taking a children's vitamin instead?  The amount of Iron in the multi-V was mentioned as a culprit for 'not going'... I will check in to this before I believe it.  If that is true though, I can see where taking a children's Vit would be a lower dose and would ease the problems?  As I said already though, I will not give up my daily Vit but I am willing to change them as I have noticed that 'going' has been more of a problem the last couple of weeks.  My wt loss is not a problem yet but... you never know.  If someone has low iron though... I would not change from an adult dose.  As for everyone taking daily Vit... from what I said before, we need them or we do not get enough of the vit and mins that we need, even when we plan at our best.

Well, my breakie is done cooking and I am hungry.  Sorry, the stomach rules over the blog.

Ok, I am back.  :)  Well, by looking at the mess in the kitchen, I think I know what has to be done first today, so that is what my son and I will be doing first.  I would like to get another couple of assignments in so that will be a priority also.  I was originally planning to take my son skiing today since he has the day off of school and with the 2 for 1 pass I have from the ski hill, but with the injury I can't do that now.  So, I think I am going to have to find another thing we can do.  Maybe the movies, mini golf, not too sure about swimming yet, or maybe go on a hunt for a new 'active' wii game?  Even though we have the old game box DDR, we could always go for the new wii one, I hear it gets the whole body involved.  If I could find the Guitar Hero, I would get that one.  That one really works on the eye-hand coordination.  I know some people would frown at even thinking of getting video games... but you have to understand my son.  Sports are just not his thing... Some of these games have helped him more than you could know with his coordination. It took a long time for him to learn how to use them, but now that he knows... things are better.  When he goes to Calgary to his biological father's after Easter, he is going to be going skiing there.  Although Austin says he is NOT going on the lift though... :)  This should be interesting because my ex-husband feel's that Austin should be able to do things 'normally' and be just like every other 11 yr old boy...

We are going to make another 'treat' though later today... the low pt brownies made with the bran.  So we will see how much damage we can do with that one.  lol

Well, I have gone on quite long enough for today.

knew it was coming...

TOM that is... My plan for the day is drugs... lol OK... so I am not going to drug myself completely up or anything, I do have some homework to kick butt in. :)

Today is a light 3 km run with some challenge exercises. Yesterday's cross training went quite well as I really pushed to go faster with the elliptical and the bike.

Since I have not made it to the hospital to pick up some applications yet and that was one of my goals for the week, that will definately be in order for today. I was talking to my friend last night and she said that they have been in a hiring freeze here since December and that the freeze will be lifted by the end of the month. So I had better get moving. :)

You know... I find it so funny that all the provinces have spring break at different times. The ones that have it now I find a little weird. The kids here have theirs starting with Good Friday and then the following week. To me it just makes sense instead of having all the Easter Candy in their system for school. Just a thought that came to my mind. I heard quite a few people talk on the boards yesterday about being on holidays or they will be starting them next week. The other thing that brought this thought up is that I received an email yesterday from Empire theaters and they advertised toonie mattinees. SK is not on their list... :( because we are not on spring break like most of the country at the same time.... I am wondering if they will do that for us when we start ours?

Well all I can say is I am happy that I made chilli last night for supper and that it will last today also plus some snacks. I really do not feel like doing much today... I really do hate this time of month. Why can't they just take everything when they 'fix' you? I can't carry kids any ways... I know it has to do with hormone production, but seriously... I have taken BC just to control the cramping but it is so useless for me. I just want them to take it all out already!!! This all comes from going to the hospital too many times for serious pain management and wonky TOMs... Well beside the drugs... a hot water bottle will be my best friend.

OK... so I am sounding a little on the grouchy side this morning...

On the positive side, for my challenge wi this morning I am down to 133 lbs, which is 0.6 from last Friday, and I have earned 83 APs since we have started. I am happy with this especially considering who decided to grace us with their presence. Sunday's wi should be interesting... I should say that during this, I don't feel like eating much, where as the week before it... I will eat any thing and fight for control. :)

OK... so I have one more rant... yesterday my son comes home and he is very upset. He tells me he has to redo his biography poster... OK fine... then he shows me his mark that he got on it. 7/10! OK... so I am not quite understanding here... he gets a good mark and they want him to redo it? This is pretty hard for me to comprehend let alone a child that has Asperger's! This is too much of a grey area. He did his work, he got a good mark, now they want him to redo it because they said it is not good enough... Jason and I really had to struggle with this one on trying to calm him down and make this situation a good one. I know they are fighting for neatness with him... but this was neat and he did very well at his printing. Arrrrgh!

Can you tell this is going to be a long day for me yet?

Well, it is just about time here to wake my son up, then off to the races I go.

run: 4.4 km/40 mins, treadmill set at 6.4 km/hr, felt so good at 3 km I just had to continue, I forced myself to stop at 4 km, it felt sooooo good and felt like I could run forever. It was a nice light run.

Quit Smoking: Day 26!

yeah! its Friday!!!!

I am so happy that it is Friday today... I have been looking forward to it all week.

Yesterday's teriyaki turkey burgers went awesomely well. Thanks to who suggested that one in their blog... see, I do read others. :) My husband swears that I put onion in his though... I didn't except mine and it was in a totally different bowl. I even cooked mine after his... he hates onions and I love to cook with them so I separate some of the recipes. :) We had the burgers with the whole wheat PC Burgers first burger buns. They look really weird but they work awesome and we loved using them. They tasted really good too!

My challenge wi went really well today, even with the super late being awake last night deciding that I finally had enough with the see through background in my blog. I had a coffee with my favorite non-fat creamer at 1 am cause I was just a cravin' it. :) The scale showed a 133.6 lbs for my weight! Woooo hooo!

So far the 19 pts thing has not been too much of an issue for me since I usually go into my APs as needed thru-out the week and the same with the FPs. So that is going well. I am finding that I am putting raw bran in everything though... just so I make sure I am getting my fibre in... yesterday I even put it with my scrambled eggs in olive oil... I know... WIERD.

So it took me since I got home on Mon till the last 2 days to finally get my priorities back in order with losing wt. As I said earlier... it payed off nicely.

My Nanny is still doing pretty good. I could never imagine going through that. When I was told back in 1992 that the chances of me walking or walking normally were slim and that I lost the use of my right hand (bad car accident) I was in total shock and was very depressed about the whole thing. Then I became mad and determined that I would prove the doctor's wrong. Well I did it... I will never be 100%, but I can run properly enough ;) and I have my hand back (thanks to the nerve growing back). My Nanny is joking about things right now, I know she is trying to hide her feelings about everything... but she has her life and will be with us longer... ok... now I have made myself sad...

Exercises for today are cross training with elliptical, bike, walking, then challenge exercises and yoga.

As today I am signing up officially for my half marathon for May, I am going to post a pick today of me and my friend in the full I did a few years ago. I am also going to finish putting up picks of my 'zoo' here so everyone will know why I call it 'the zoo.'

Quit Smoking: Day 20!

I arrived in Calgary..

The drive was great until the last hour... detours and construction. But the rest went really well and I made good time too. :) So I have not managed to get any APs in yet... I am thinking about the pool right now. hmmm.... As for eating, so far I have only had 5 pts and it is 5 pm my time! yeowza! I had better get on that. You know there is a Timmies AND a McD's RIGHT beside my hotel! Arrrg! The temptation of it. :( I have brought some healthy snacks for myself but I need a good meal right now.

So... plan for the rest of the evening?

oh ya! I weighed in at 135.2 lbs and earned 33 APs for the March madness challenge! WOooooo hooooo!

Saturday

Well up at 8 am, why? who knows... my son is at my mom's house for the night and I just can't sleep in. I was just tossing and turning for the last bit. My son really wanted to go and stay at my mom's last night for a visit because my other younger cousins were all there. Jason and I went to see the movie '27 Dresses' and we both found it quite funny. I was actually quite surprised that he found it funny.

Yesterday, I ended up dealing with neighbour's (both sides) cars parked in certain spots. On the left side, one was parked on the sidewalk (found that one funny) and the right side they were parking basically 3/4 of their car on our driveway. I wanted to clear the snow but the car was in the way, not to mention that I have nearly hit their car a few times now trying to get out. The dad, 'owner' of the house, came to visit them and saw what was happening and spoke to them for me. He told me next time to go give them 'sh@t', was his words. :)

I managed to get in most of my exercises before the movie, but not the run. So at 10 pm last night, I went. I also bought a yoga book yesterday for some new ideas in a routine, so I tried that out afterwards also.

Well, I can't believe that it has been 7 days, not smoking! Woooo hooo! Thanks everyone for all the encouragement! Around here, everyone smokes, most of my family, and friends. So it is really hard because they are not so encouraging and say that I won't succeed. Geez, it sounds a lot like losing weight! There is always someone out there that says oh you can't do that, or you will never succeed. Well I HAVE succeeded once already with the wt loss once, and I am doing it again, AND I WILL succeed at not smoking also!

Today I am going to go to hot yoga and get my but kicked by 'Ryan', the instructor, again. It is quite the workout and has your muscles screaming, but it feels so GOOD afterwards! We are all going out for supper tonight with Jason's dad and brother. It is the anniversary of their mother's death (3 yrs) so we are going out for Chinese food. I don't know if I had mentioned this before but Jason's family is Chinese, so we eat Chinese a lot of occasions. I must say though that this week has been terrible for eating out! I can't wait for next week as we do not have anything planned except our 'regular' eat out night.

After today's festivities, I will be going for a nice long walk on the treadmill. In the mean time I am going to be eating mostly fruits, veggies, and have my milk products because of the eating out tonight. Oh ya... and LOTS of water before and after. Other than that, homework and cleaning.

Quit Smoking: Day 7!

no chocolate hangover for me...

Besides my one piece of a reeses pieces miniature cup, that was it. :) Oh ya... we had Domino's pizza last night (rare thing for me...) I haven't had it since I started ww. So we ordered a med. veggie for me. WOW! Talk about a challenge just trying to figure out the points for it especially when they cut it in the squares! I still have not quite figured it out properly I believe... I tried out a few online sites including domino's itself and was lost! They keep on talking about 2 pieces or grams. I tried weighing, I wasn't sure if the site was thin, thick, or hand tossed... arrrrrgh! The ww site was even mixed up. I found the pizza for 1/4 of a med (not sure what the crust was?) and when I put it in the tracker... it was for a 1/8 of a pizza! So that is when I went to the other sites. Could they make it even more confusing!!!!! Not Happy!

Yesterday, we did not end up going to the movie. Austin was starting to get sick so we figured tonight may be better if he is well. So I ended up going to hot yoga with my pass I just got. I thought I would try a different instructor. Well, I did not get worked as hard, there were just a lot of stretches. I found out later it was her first night teaching there... She was very nice and gave us a very relaxing time. I had a great sleep last night. :)

Today is homework, cleaning, and exercise. Jason and I are going to go to Grainfield's for lunch. I like going there the odd time because I can have my egg whites, plain rye bread, and a fruit cup. Sometimes I will have some bacon. :) It's their lite breakfast. For the rest of the day I am having my breakfast smoothie, and more fruit and veggies (a good size salad with ham), and a lite supper.

I feel like it is going to be another run day today. Just 30 mins again. I have snuck a peek at the scale and there is no movement from Sunday still, so I am hoping to shake things up a bit. I start the Game on Challenge today and have decided that I will shoot for 132 lbs which is 4.6 lbs in 5 weeks. This challenge is also to make sure we earn AP's every day and set a goal for that one. My goal is to earn 135 APs in 35 days. I have to change my sig in ww for this to keep track.

Well, I am really looking forward to Sunday when I weigh in and take my measurements. I feel smaller... and I can start to really see some differences. I guess that is the plus about being shorter because you get to see the results faster! :)

run: 30 mins/4.03 km, felt good until last 5 mins, 10 pm, going to be warm outside, cloudy, feeling good, on treadmil

Quit smoking: Day 6

Happy TGIF!

Well last night supper went well for the most part. I did not touch one grain of rice, noodle, fried food, or any other sins I can think of. I ate all things steamed only. Ginger steamed fish, steamed tofu and shrimp, and steamed chicken and broccoli. The only thing I could have done better was to stop eating when I was full! But it was too good... and now there are leftovers sitting at my house. :( But I will look at the positives that I did; ate all steamed, drank lots of water and tea!

Today was my challenge WI and wouldn't you know it I started TOM! I knew it was coming 'cause of the crabby mood I have been in. :) I managed to go down 0.4 lb which is great considering the supper last night and TOM! NSV for me! It was a loss. I am happy. I actually expected a gain. Nice way to wake up I would say.

Well last night I did not get my jog in. :( We spent too much time out. Today is the day though to try to get 30 mins in. Wish me luck! I will be doing some yoga too and yes I am going to set up my basement like I said I would. LOL! Gotta get my 'hot yoga' some how!

I just realized that I do not have a pic yet of myself as of today's date on here. I think I will fix that today also not to mention figuring out how to get my previous pic a better size for viewing. I am proud of what I have accomplished before and love to show it off. That's why the one pic is in such terrible shape. I carry it in my wallet to remind myself.
